Job description

Role: Senior Content Writer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Dallas, TX or Bothell, WA or Atlanta, GA


The senior content writer develops compelling digital content that helps B2B and B2C audiences understand products, evaluate offers, and take action across web and app experiences.

The ideal candidate has produced content for ecommerce journeys, promotional campaigns, landing pages, banners, product experiences, and more.

While this role’s primary focus is writing and editing, it also requires a strategic mindset to help shape content decisions.


Primary responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, marketing, brand, and legal teams while also working closely with studio leads, producers, designers, and writers.

• Grow and leverage a deep understanding of brand principles and guidelines, ensuring consistent voice and messaging across projects.

• Think outside the box to innovate customer experiences that drive understanding, engagement, and conversion.

• Apply editorial standards, SEO principles, and accessibility requirements while balancing business objectives, legal requirements, technical constraints, and customer needs.

• Protect content quality and brand integrity while incorporating stakeholder feedback.

• Ensure every deliverable supports the site strategy and desired customer experience.

• Identify opportunities for both process improvement and content application (e.g., messaging frameworks, content approach, experience recommendations).


Core competencies & requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, advertising, communications, or similar field.

• Three+ years’ experience copywriting (web, ecommerce, and consumer-facing experiences preferred).

• Advanced writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify technical or jargon-heavy copy without losing accuracy or meaning.

• Understands customer-centered writing, information hierarchy, and the relationship between content, design, and interaction.

• Experienced presenter capable of explaining rationale behind content decisions.

• Working knowledge of SEO, accessibility, UX writing, and content optimization.

• Solutions-oriented thinker who can anticipate risks, needs, and opportunities.

• Affinity for process and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Comfortable working on both creative and production tasks.

• Experience with Chicago Manual of Style and workflow management tools such as Workfront.
