We're presenting an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Distribution Center Manager in Austell, GA. We are looking for someone that will support our DC Manager and oversee the receipt of our products into distribution center.

Here's a General Overview of What You'll Be Doing
  • Work with our Warehouse Management System (WMS) daily
  • Oversee the receipt of all products, returns, parts and supplies coming into the DC
  • Assist in creating the strategy and arrangement of products with the DC Manager
  • Ensure productivity targets are met while maintaining the highest safety standards
  • Manage team of DC associates, including training and daily tasks
  • Work out on the floor working side by side with the DC team
  • Review daily processes and work with the DC Manager to increase efficiency within the DC
  • Work with the DC Manager in planning the daily agenda, training, and performance reviews
  • Assist the DC Manager as needed with recruitment and staffing needs
  • Continuously motivate, establish and encourage teamwork
  • Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are being met
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and plan for future capacity needs

What We're Looking For
  • 2-5 years of distribution center inbound receiving experience
  • Team Lead or other leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Lift Truck and Fork Lift experience
  • WMS and RF Technology experience
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Problem-solver and critical thinker
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Occasionally may need to lift up to 70lbs
  • High School or GED required

It Would Also Be Really Great to Have
  • Cross dock, hub and spoke distribution center experience
  • Knowledge of a receiving and storage of goods
  • OSHA experience/knowledge
