The Role
HII has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Counsel, Division Trade Compliance for our Mission Technologies division, at our Arlington, VA Corporate office!
This position will report directly to the Assistant General Counsel and Director of Enterprise Trade Compliance. The ideal candidate has extremely strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. With divisional focus and responsibilities, the candidate will provide legal advice and counsel related to Mission Technologies' international trade transactions and requirements; collaborate daily with incumbent Trade Compliance Manager; refine policies and procedures to facilitate compliant and efficient international trade operations; conduct risk-based legal analyses of international trade issues; liaison with US government regulators; and proactively partner with relevant Mission Technologies business leaders and stakeholders.
This position will have a secondary responsibility supporting the Mission Technologies Compliance Director, executing the Mission Technologies' Compliance Plan, including: supporting annual evaluation and risk assessments; supporting quarterly Compliance Council products; on-site compliance support to Mission Technologies' US-based operations; supporting Mission Technologies' third-party representatives due diligence process; and day-to-day liaison with Mission Technologies' Compliance Program Manager and Compliance Director..
