Job Summary:

The Director of Technology (DOT) builds and leads the organization's technology strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director, the DOT will assess current tools and workflows across all departments and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation. The DOT will lead the integration of technological tools into NCAI day-to-day operations including membership, policy, communications, fundraising, finance, and HR. This is a hands-on role that balances strategic thinking with practical implementation. The DOT will manage one (1) staff or contractors and serve as the primary technology advisor to NCAI's leadership.

Objectives of this role include:

  • Define and prioritize technology needs and solutions, assessing their potential for strategic advantage and business impact.
  • Establish and maintain a clear organization-wide technology roadmap.
  • Drive innovation to improve organizational efficiency, capacity, and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and responsible technology use.
  • Increase organization-wide technology fluency and adoption.
  • Ensure a high-performing, scalable, and cost-effective technology infrastructure, including vendor management.
