Looking for a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing to join a nursing team at a skilled nursing facility in Rochester, NY. As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for the nursing team and quality of patient service in the absence of the director of nursing. 

Salary: $97K to $105K


Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing:

  • Must have a New York RN license

  • MUST have prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing 

  • Must have experience in long-term care

  • Experience staff training with clinical staff

  • Excellent communication skills required


Responsibilities:  

  • Helping to hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses.

  • Managing clinical operations and developing care plans.

  • Preparing the daily schedule and planning shifts.

  • Ensuring nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.

  • Assisting in budget preparation and expense management.

  • Conducting patient rounds and addressing complaints.
