Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Student Accounts plays a vital role on the Student Accounts team. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual. Responsibilities include but are not limited to daily reconciliation of cash received; obtaining and reconciling federal student aid and private loan funds; issuing student refunds; working with other College departments, students and families to resolve financial aid disbursement and billing concerns.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of one to three years experience in a high volume customer service or a financial management environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Experience interpreting and explaining complex policies and processes to customers in sometimes stressful situations
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to assist customers of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States. VISA sponsorship is not offered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
  • Administrative experience in higher education
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner or other related software
  • Familiarity with State and Federal Financial Aid regulations
  • Experience with large volume billing and collections.
