The Role

The Assistant Director of Golf Retail plays a key role in executing a best-in-class retail operation. This position partners closely with the Director of Retail to bring strategy to life, balancing exceptional member service with strong merchandising and operational execution.

This is a hands-on role, supporting inventory management, buying strategies, visual presentation, and retail events.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver world-class service through meaningful interactions with members and guests
  • Create and uphold visually compelling, "best of the best" retail displays
  • Utilize the Jonas POS system to manage SKUs, pricing, and merchandise receiving
  • Keep stockrooms organized, efficient, and operationally strong
  • Manage the full special-order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication
  • Partner with the Director of Retail on product assortment and buying strategies
  • Monitor inventory levels and execute reorders to maintain proper stock levels
  • Take ownership of returns and defective merchandise processes
  • Support retail strategy execution across Golf, Tennis, and Aquatics retail areas
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and executing Golf Shop events and tournaments
  • Analyze sales trends to optimize inventory mix and turnover
  • Build strong, professional relationships with members, team members, and vendor partners
  • Support day-to-day operations at the sales counter as needed
  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
