Utah Community Action is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts that support life-changing programs and strengthen communities throughout Utah. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader who enjoys building meaningful relationships, cultivating donors and partners, and creating innovative fundraising initiatives that generate lasting impact.
As a key member, you will guide the organization's fundraising strategy, oversee donor and grant development efforts, and help ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission. You'll work closely with agency leadership, community stakeholders, and the Development Team to expand resources, grow partnerships, and advance programs that make a real difference in people's lives.
The ideal candidate brings nonprofit fundraising experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to lead successful development initiatives. Experience with grant writing, donor stewardship, public speaking, event planning, and team supervision is essential. A bachelor's degree is required, while a master's degree and strategic planning experience are preferred.
Success in this role requires someone who is relationship-driven, organized, adaptable, and committed to excellence. You'll be comfortable balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day priorities while serving as a trusted representative of the organization within the community.
This position supervises the Development Team and includes occasional local travel. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and be able to meet all required background checks, health screenings, and agency compliance standards.
