Middle School Drama/Musical Assistant Director
The Middle School Drama/Musical Assistant Director reports to the Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. In conjunction with the Middle School Drama/Musical Director, responsibilities include all aspects of the production, including, but not limited to:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in all aspects of the production as delegated by the Director
  • Be in attendance for all auditions, rehearsals & performances
  • Participate in auditions, casting process & rehearsals
  • Assist with rehearsals & shows
  • Support rehearsal objectives in conjunction with the Director
  • Assist with acting, singing, dancing & music
  • Assist with all aspects of movement
  • Assist with choreography & blocking throughout the production
  • Lead role in design & creation of sets
  • Assist with all aspects of stage crew/stagecraft, including lighting & sound
  • Organizer for acquiring & planning out props
  • Lead in decorating lobby & auditorium for performances
  • Lead in program creation
  • Assist with students & volunteers
  • Assist Director in other tasks that are put forth by the Director
