Job Description
The Assistant Director of Technology is a 12-month, full-time position responsible for supporting the leadership, management, and innovation of the district's technology systems and initiatives. This role includes oversight of infrastructure, cybersecurity, instructional technology, and custom application development, with a particular focus on supporting and advancing the district's internally-developed systems, including Firefly (SIS/LMS ecosystem).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT systems, software development, or technology leadership
  • Experience with web application development (e.g., JavaScript, Go, ColdFusion, or similar)
  • Understanding of databases, APIs, and system integrations
  • Experience in a K-12 school district and familiarity with SIS/LMS platforms and educational systems preferred
