About this Role

The Data Privacy Analyst (internally known as an IT Business Analyst Associate) supports privacy, data governance, and compliance initiatives by partnering with teams across the business, Legal, and IT. This role assists with vendor onboarding, data privacy operations, regulatory research, and process documentation to help the organization keep pace with evolving privacy and AI regulations. The position promotes responsible data use, strengthens compliance practices, and supports efforts to manage risk across the company. It also provides opportunities to contribute to enterprise-wide governance, compliance, and technology initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Review web tracking technologies, including cookies, pixels, and tags, to identify potential compliance risks and support adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Support vendor onboarding and renewals by preparing, reviewing, and summarizing vendor privacy and AI questionnaires.
  • Review, respond to, and help resolve consumer data privacy requests within required regulatory timelines.
  • Coordinate and implement updates to operational processes that support consumer privacy rights as laws and business requirements evolve.
  • Research, monitor, and summarize emerging U.S. state privacy and AI regulations.
  • Document and maintain business processes, procedures, and requirements as they are developed, updated, or enhanced.
  • Help define, scope, and support IT initiatives and projects related to privacy, data governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, Marketing, Advertising, and external vendors to address privacy, data, and compliance matters.
  • Assist with training and awareness activities related to data privacy, AI, and compliance.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with Legal, Marketing, IT, Data Governance, and external vendor teams.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience; one or more years of experience in business, IT, or compliance support is preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. data privacy regulations, such as CCPA/CPRA, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex information clearly.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain regulatory and technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Basic project management knowledge, with experience documenting requirements, workflows, and business processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with privacy management platforms, such as OneTrust, TrustArc, Privado, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
