Job Description
The Data Modeler - Emissions Reduction Program Analyst will join our Upstream - Unconventional - Permian Business Unit's Sustainability Team. This position supports the organization's emissions reduction initiatives by analyzing large datasets and creating informative dashboards that drive decision-making. The role administratively reports to a Permian Sustainability manager while receiving work direction from multiple stakeholders including Permian Sustainability Manager and Supervisors. The position interfaces with Houston-based GO&S emissions calculations team, Global Projects, Data Analytics, and EMIT teams. This position can be based in Midland or Houston with occasional travel to Midland (every other month).
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain dashboards that pull information from various data sources to support emissions reduction initiatives
  • Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to emissions and sustainability metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data visualization solutions
  • Support the integration of data between different systems by leveraging existing APIs
  • Provide data analysis expertise to support emissions estimation and reporting
  • Assist with surface facilities and power systems data monitoring and analysis
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Maintain data quality and integrity throughout analytical processes
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in sustainability metrics and reporting

Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 7+ years of data analysis experience, including handling large datasets
  • Proficiency in coding PowerBI scripts, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar tools to create dashboards
  • Familiarity with/skills in Siteview, ProCount, and/or SAP
  • Technical background on implementation of APIs to merge data between different systems
  • Experience with or knowledge of surface facilities, emissions estimation, and power systems preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to travel to Midland occasionally (approximately every other month)
  • Experience in oil and gas industry preferred
