Job Summary:
Yesway is an award-winning convenience store operator established in 2015 and headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. The Merchandising Data Analyst will analyze sales and customer data, develop reports, and partner with category managers to optimize product assortments.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop and maintain merchandising reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Partner with category managers to optimize product assortments and planograms.
• Monitor and evaluate promotion performance, pricing strategies, and product placement to improve results.
• Forecast demand and support inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct competitive analyses to benchmark pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
• Support new product launches and seasonal resets with data-driven recommendations.
• Prepare presentations and reports on merchandising performance for key stakeholders.
• Perform foundational statistical analyses of baskets, promotions, sales, and unit performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., STEM, Mathematics, Data Analytics) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in retail analytics or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver PowerPoint decks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
• Experience in convenience retail or other multi-unit retail environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL or other relevant programming languages.
