Summary
The Cultivation Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight of the cultivation facility including propagation, vegetation, trimming, staffing and problem solving. The Cultivation Manager will provide oversight of all Cultivation Associates and Trim Associates and ensure that the facility is safe and compliant with OSHA, MED and state regulations at all times. Additionally, the Cultivation Manager is responsible for ensuring all company policies are upheld and all company-provided standard operating procedures are adhered to. This ensures the quality of product meets or exceeds Ascend Cannabis Co's standards. Interacts with other staff professionally at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Uphold a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times.
• Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
• Assures all manufacturing procedures are executed properly and efficiently.
• Responsible for production and scheduling of all manufacturing duties, including planning from all stages and aspects of growth.
• Maintains the efficiency of all necessary steps and procedures of the manufacturing and addresses any issues of which may arise.
• Maintains and monitors all plants and plant health throughout every stage in the facility.
• Responsible for employee and manager relations, production and management - disciplines and acknowledges employees appropriately.
• Maintains proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory and over facility compliance.
• Ensures all new employees and managers are trained in proper and preferred plant care techniques.
• Identifies and corrects all plant-related problems deficiencies.
• Displays knowledge, leadership and guidance to all manufacturing employees.
• Maintain cultivation facility procedures.
• Ensure all weighing and recording of data is accurate.
• Oversee all sanitization of equipment.
• Assist in ensuring all cultivation procedures are executed properly.
• Schedule all manufacturing duties for all stages and aspects of growth.
• Promote employee and manager relations.
• Maintain plant counts and tracking information for inventory.
• Ensure cultivation facility is consistently stocked with appropriate supplies.
• Perform plant care techniques, including super-cropping, topping, skirting, de-fanning and weaving.
• Train all new employees to accomplish preferred plant care techniques.
• Responsible for scouting all equipment, ensuring all tools are free of pests, viruses or disease.
• Encourage accuracy and thoroughness in order to promote quality.
• Preserve the quality product standard of excellence.
• All other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
• High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
• Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Global
Required Skills & Experience:
• Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
• Management and leadership experience
• Customer service experience
• Must be able to acquire MED badge prior to beginning employment
Physical requirements:
• Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to individually move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.
• Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.
• Retail, operations and/or sales experience a plus.
• Minimum of one-year retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service industry experience.
• High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language and reasoning skills.
