Position Summary


KiddeFenwal is seeking an experienced Assistant Corporate Controller to join our global finance team. Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, this role provides leadership across accounting operations, financial reporting, global consolidations, manufacturing accounting, and internal controls.

The Assistant Corporate Controller will lead a team of accounting professionals while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, FP&A, and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen controls, improve processes, and support the company's continued growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including global consolidations and financial reporting.
  • Oversee general accounting, cost accounting, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and strong internal controls.
  • Manage manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, product costing, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with Operations and FP&A to improve financial performance and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinate external audits and support tax compliance, treasury activities, and banking relationships.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and scalable accounting practices.
  • Oversee Concur expense management and related internal controls.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls.
  • Experience with manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory, product costing, and variance analysis.
  • Experience managing month-end close, external audits, treasury, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Concur or other expense management systems preferred.
  • Proven ability to improve processes, implement automation, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
