Job description

Market of Choice in South Eugene is now hiring for an Assistant Beverage Manager to provide great customer service to our valued customers. This position starts at $19.25/hour up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience.
DESCRIPTION
Our Beverage Departments feature beer, wine and coffee selections from around the world and from our local neighborhoods allowing us to provide an exceptional assortment of options to our customers! We are seeking a knowledgeable, cultured and passionate teammate to join our Beverage Department as an Assistant Beverage Manager.
DUTIES
Market of Choice employees create a pleasant in-store atmosphere and provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
As an Assistant Beverage Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting customers in selection and recommendations
  • Helping with quarterly inventory and meeting sales goals while controlling overall expenses
  • Maintaining positive customer and employee relations
  • Assisting in the training and development of department employees
  • Keeping current and continually expanding knowledge of beer, wine, and coffee
  • Organizing, stocking and facing Beverage Department
  • Checking in deliveries/logging of all invoices daily
  • General cleaning and maintenance of sales area, floor, spot mop, shelving, grinders, bins, signs and coolers

Prepare for a high-energy, team-oriented environment where you will accurately prepare customer orders in a prompt and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with and knowledge of beer and wine.
  • Ordering and merchandising experience are also a plus.
  • Applicants should also have open availability which would include evenings and weekends.
