About the Opportunity

Pinnacle Fertility is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key day-to-day accounting operations while helping strengthen and improve the processes that support our growing organization.

This is an opportunity for an accounting leader who enjoys both technical accounting and people leadership. You will oversee critical areas of the general ledger function—including accounts payable, banking and treasury activities, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and month-end close activities—while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information.

Working closely with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional leaders, you will help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, resolve issues, and support the organization's financial objectives.

You will also play an important role in leading, coaching, and developing the accounting team, creating an environment where team members can develop their skills and take the next steps in their careers.

What You'll Own

Accounting Operations & Financial Accuracy

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, banking and treasury activities, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and other assigned accounting functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Review accounting transactions and reconciliations prepared by staff to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes designed to protect the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.

Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Close

  • Support and actively participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with financial analysis and investigation of account activity and variances.
  • Partner with the Assistant Controller to help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff by assigning work, establishing priorities, and monitoring performance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Review team members' work product, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and departmental expectations.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Process Improvement & Business Partnership

  • Analyze financial data, account activity, and operational trends to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Partner with the Assistant Controller to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operational and departmental leaders to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
  • Help identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and support the continued growth of the organization.
  • Support the Assistant Controller in preparing financial reports, variance analyses, and other management reporting.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to audit requests.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and controls to support the integrity of the accounting function.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct people leadership experience, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Experience supervising transactional accounting functions, including accounts payable and general ledger activities.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, multi-site, or private equity-backed organization is preferred.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.
  • Proven experience reviewing staff work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting and expense management systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner with accounting, operational, and departmental leaders.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $110,000–$135,000. Final offers are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
