Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.
Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

  • Patient Intake & Clinical Support
    • Greet and prepare patients, collect vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and assist with examinations and patient mobility.
  • Clinical Procedures & Testing
    • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, basic laboratory procedures, administer approved medications, communicate lab results, and support diagnostic testing.
  • Medical Documentation & Record Management
    • Document patient encounters, update electronic medical records, review records for accuracy, and ensure compliance with legal and confidentiality requirements.
  • Care Coordination & Scheduling
    • Schedule appointments, diagnostic services, referrals, and coordinate patient flow and follow-up care across departments and providers.
  • Clinic Operations & Inventory Management
    • Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain exam rooms, manage supplies and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized clinical environment.
  • Patient Communication & Administrative Support
    • Provide patient education, handle telephone communications, verify insurance, process registrations, collect payments, and resolve routine issues while escalating concerns as needed.                                                                                                          
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies or High School GED General Studies
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
  • Medical Assistant Certification: WA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

  • One (1) year of work experience as a Medical Assistant
