Job description

Lead the Future of Outpatient Care at Boone County Health Center

Boone County Health Center (BCHC) is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Outpatient Services Officer to join our executive leadership team. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for a broad portfolio of outpatient and ancillary clinical services, ensuring exceptional patient care, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and regulatory compliance.

As a key member of the Administration Team, you will partner closely with physicians, department leaders, and executive leadership to expand outpatient services, improve access to care, enhance the patient experience, and support the organization's strategic vision.

What You'll Do

As the Chief Outpatient Services Officer, you will:

  • Provide executive oversight for outpatient, ancillary, diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural service lines.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that improve access, quality, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
  • Lead multiple clinical departments while promoting collaboration across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute services.
  • Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and operational standards aligned with BCHC's strategic plan.
  • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and accreditation compliance.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial performance, productivity, capital planning, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with physicians and clinical leaders to improve care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders and teams while fostering employee engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a visible leader within the organization and represent BCHC within the community and professional organizations.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, operational improvement, and change leadership.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, the following certifications:
    • PALS
    • NALS
    • ACLS
    • BLS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) OR someone with clinical background
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, or equivalent).
  • Experience overseeing multiple outpatient, ancillary, diagnostic, surgical, or procedural service lines.
