The Director of Cardiovascular Services (DCS), in conjunction with facility leadership, has responsibility and accountability for development and design of Cardiovascular Services strategy and will drive the best possible outcomes at the lowest total of care across the health system. In addition, the DCS is accountable for the successful operations of all RGH sites associated with Cardiovascular Services. The DCS collaborates with other service line leadership to promote continuous improvement of clinical services and patient experience throughout the continuum of care.

Serve as the accountable leader for all elements of performance within Cardiovascular Services.

Oversee implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a comprehensive strategic plan for the service line. Including the ambulatory, acute, post-acute and community elements of care.

Collaborates with lead staff, providers and other support staff to continuously improve clinical outcomes, the total cost of care and patient satisfaction measures set by the organization.

Coordinate and prioritize the development, implementation and review of new programs and innovations designed to reduce variation in care, improve outcomes, improve patient/employee/provider experience and/or lower total cost of care.

Partner with quality leadership to assure care continues to progress toward our goal of becoming a highly reliable organization, with input to the development of appropriate data sets to guide performance in quality and safety areas; assures appropriate accreditation standards are met or exceeded in the clinics under the service line.

Collaborate and partner with other service line leaders, division and facility leadership and system leaders, consistent with the organization's operating and governance model, to ensure services are provided in a consistent, efficient and patient-centric fashion, designed to produce the best outcomes at the lowest total cost of care.

Support facility leadership in the recruitment and retention of excellent providers, service line and clinic staff.

Accountable for the financial performance of the service line.

Demonstrates the values and behaviors of our leadership, inspiring constituents to achieve ever-improving patient-centered care outcomes.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing administration, healthcare administration or related areas required.


Minimum Work Experience

5 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular.ย 

Current WV licensure as Registered Nurse or Radiologic Technologist required.
