Job description

Primary Location: United States (US) - North Dakota  - Fargo   

As an Equipment Operator employee with John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will:

Perform equipment operations support in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

  • Operate and setup equipment placing electronic components. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment. 
  • Utilize computer tools to operate and manage machine production. 
  • Read and comprehend job orders and part numbers with accuracy to meet quality criteria of product. 
  • Assist and support other team members. 
  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job. 

This is a third shift position.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
    • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
  • Demonstrated hand and power tool knowledge and operation.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow work instructions, including distinguishing part and quantity numbers.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and hand/eye dexterity and coordination.
  • Ability and willingness to work potential overtime (including weekends).
