Job description

This position is split between Yancy School Community Center in Esmont, VA, and the Nelson Center in Lovingston VA.

This is a part time position at 20 hours per week.

Are you a bundle of energy with a heart full of compassion? Do you love creating fun moments and fostering meaningful connections? We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and friendly Activities Assistant to join our Southern Albemarle and Nelson team!

As our Activities Assistant, you'll be at the center of our daily happenings, bringing smiles to our communities senior, through a variety of engaging programs and activities. Whether it's leading a craft workshop, organizing a lively game of bingo, or helping seniors stay fit through chair yoga, you'll have a big hand in making every day a special one!

Great Mid-day hours; Monday - Thursday 9am-2pm.

What You'll Do:

  • Assisting with planning, organizing, and leading fun-filled activities, from arts & crafts to games and exercise routines
  • Assist with special themed days, holiday celebrations, and memory-boosting programs.
  • Keep track of members participation and encourage everyone to get involved!
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment where every senior can feel engaged and valued.
