  • Review site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and construction documents for technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Coordinate civil designs with structural, geotechnical, architectural, environmental, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Evaluate existing site conditions and assist with developing practical engineering recommendations.
  • Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
  • Assist with subsurface investigations and incorporate geotechnical recommendations into civil and site designs.
  • Support foundation, pavement, site utility, and earthwork-related engineering activities.
  • Coordinate permitting and project requirements with local and state agencies.
  • Prepare and respond to RFIs, submittals, design revisions, and construction-related technical questions.
  • Assist Project Managers with project schedules, budgets, proposals, and client communication.
  • Monitor construction activities for general compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Work with field inspection and testing personnel to address construction and material-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining established project schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications

  • Experience with civil/site design, construction engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, pavements, earthwork, and general site development.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and geotechnical drawings.
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, reports, plans, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a consulting engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, or drainage design.
  • Knowledge of site utilities, pavement design, retaining structures, and foundation systems.
  • Experience performing construction observations or field inspections.
  • Familiarity with local and state permitting requirements.
  • Experience coordinating directly with contractors, owners, architects, and regulatory agencies.
