The Assistant Bar Manager works in building, cultivating a positive working relationship amongst the team, and guests. It is the Assistant Bar Manager’s responsibility to effectively drive sales and profits, as well as develop initiatives to lead, educate, and inspire the Bar and Service teams. Responsibilities Ensure that all DDP policies, procedures, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times Uphold service standards and practices of DDP Restaurant GroupSetting up for service- cash count, floor map, pre-shift notesResolving any guest complaints or issues during service Communicate menu changes with management and staff Ensure management and staff are following DDP standards and procedures Work with the Bar Manager, DDP Bar Director and other applicable management to keep all bars working efficiently and effectively Lead bar pre-shifts with bartenders Lead service with other FOH managers Keep up staff morale and be a positive leader Assist with updating of POS in conjunction with management Making cuts and pushing in times as necessary for the bar team and service team Ensure staff and management keep prep areas clean and organizedCommunicate with other managers as it relates to the bar Manage COGS of bar items Macro and micro cost bar items Essential Functions Primary responsibilities include and are not limited to: Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and notes for the FOH Team Ensuring the bar team is upholding all policies, procedures and standardsWorking alongside employees to ensure service is smooth and prompt Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback Work in coordination with other managers and employees to promote and foster a cooperative, positive and respectful team environment Strong and effective communication with BOH manager and Corporate Team on all pertinent information Ensuring daily / nightly reporting of sales, cash deposits, comps, and discounts are accounted for AM and PM Counting and Balancing of Bank and Bar till Nightly cash deposit and reporting Troubleshooting POS issues Coordinating with BOH and FOH for menu edits and reprinting, as needed Disciplinary actions when and if needed, including and not limited to: Verbal, written and final warnings, termination Work with the team on service & supply needs for FOHUpholding and ensuring the cleanliness of FOH Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
