Job description

Description

The Bar Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and success of all SkyPark bar operations, including The Pedal Pub, the Reindeer Room, portable bars, and all restaurant bars serving alcohol. This role ensures elevated and consistent service by leading the bar teams, maintaining bar standards, and delivering quality handcrafted cocktails. The Bar Supervisor collaborates with in-house, hosts/hostesses, servers, bartenders, mixologists and event teams to provide unique, memorable beverage experiences for guests. This position works closely with the F&B Managers, Events Manager, and reports directly to the F&B Manager.


This position requires open availability on weekends and holidays. Scheduled shifts will vary based on park hours and event needs. The Bar Supervisor is expected to work the full duration of assigned events, including through closing.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional guest service at all SkyPark alcohol service points, including the Pedal Pub, Reindeer Room, restaurant bars, and portable bars for events and weddings.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule bartenders and bar backs for daily operations and special events.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of handcrafted cocktail menus in collaboration with bartenders, mixologists, and the F&B Manager.
  • Ensure all bar areas are properly set up, stocked, and maintained according to SkyPark's standards and individual event requirements.
  • Provide training and ongoing development on craft cocktail preparation, bar presentation, and guest engagement.
  • Work with the bartenders and mixology team to introduce seasonal and themed drink menus, ensuring quality and consistency across all locations.
  • Enforce policies and procedures related to alcohol handling, guest safety, and responsible service.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health codes and licensing laws.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including scheduling, attendance variance reports, shift logs, guest feedback, and performance notes.
  • Assist in the ordering, inventory, and vendor coordination of alcohol and cocktail supplies.
  • Participate in tastings, menu planning, and vendor meetings to ensure high-quality beverage offerings.
  • Support and participate in departmental and company training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support bar and event operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending and bar supervisory experience in a fast-paced, full-service bar environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, and beverage trends.
  • Experience collaborating with mixologists on custom cocktail menus and event-specific offerings.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with a passion for coaching, developing, and inspiring team members.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and ability to manage bar-related transactions and reporting.
  • Ability to create effective bar schedules, monitor time and attendance, and manage staff performance documentation.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain current alcohol service certification as required by law.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
