Job description

FIGS is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the development of Scrubwear and Underscrubs across men's and women's categories. This role partners closely with the Senior Designer and Design Director to execute seasonal product from concept through development. You will contribute through strong organization, technical execution, and design support, building a foundation in performance-driven, functional apparel within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do

  • Execute sketches, CADs, and visual materials under direction of the Senior Designer
  • Support translation of seasonal concepts into product across Scrubwear and Underscrubs
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and design boards
  • Assist in building and updating tech packs under direction
  • Track and organize development components (lab dips, trims, strike-offs, mock-ups)
  • Support execution of deliverables aligned to seasonal calendars
  • Conduct trend, market, and competitive research
  • Organize and present findings to support seasonal development
  • Attend fittings, capture detailed notes, and track updates
  • Maintain organized records of fit and design changes
  • Support communication across teams by tracking updates and next steps
  • Follow up on action items to keep projects moving
  • Maintain organized design files, boards, and seasonal materials
  • Track deadlines and support overall team workflow and efficiency

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in apparel design (internships included)
  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
  • Basic understanding of garment construction, fit, and materials
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Ability to create clean, accurate technical sketches and CADs

Pay Range

  • At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's hourly range is between $29 and $31. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
