Summary:

Osaic seeks a self-driven and motivated professional to join the tax team in Scottsdale, AZ. Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Income Tax Analyst will provide income tax support for compliance, provision, and other tax reporting needs. This position requires an experienced professional with an intermediate level of knowledge of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes and corporate tax compliance. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a basic knowledge of ASC 740 concepts and use of tax compliance software, as well as the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Masters of Tax and/or CPA-licensed is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare workpapers and consolidated federal & state corporate income tax returns

  • Identify opportunities to minimize income tax liability

  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end income tax provision calculations and associated journal entries, as well as supporting memos.

  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments

  • Assist with the preparation of the company's non-income tax returns, such as excise, sales/use, gross receipts, etc.

  • Perform tax research and document tax positions

  • Assists with income tax audits, notices, and other ad-hoc tax matters as the need arises

Basic Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of corporate tax experience, including consolidated groups and multi-state activities, in public accounting and/or industry

  • Demonstrated ability to work and solve/research problems independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Knowledge of federal and state corporate income tax laws

  • Knowledge of tax compliance and provision software (OneSource Income Tax is a plus)

  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written, with internal and external parties

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute a high volume of tasks
