Job description

Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA).
Salary: The salary range indicated in this announcement will be adjusted to include locality payment for selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Salaries & Wages.Qualifications:You must demonstrate you meet the Minimum Qualification Requirements and the Typing Requirement as noted below.
GS-09: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in the Federal service that includes the following:
  1. Tracking court dockets;
  2. Drafting memoranda such as motions and appeals; and
  3. Gathering data from a variety of databases for review or analysis.
In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of the following skills:
  • 40 words per minute based on a five-minute sample with three or fewer errors
