Job description

Senior Supply Chain Analyst
Our Aston facility is growing, and we are looking for a Sr Supply Chain Analyst to join our team!
As our Sr Supply Chain Analyst, you will own assigned commodities, suppliers, and materials throughout the complete procurement lifecycle from supplier identification and sourcing through purchase order execution, production support, supplier performance management, and ongoing cost and risk optimization.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, and experience sourcing engineered components in a manufacturing environment.
Location: Aston, PA (on-site)
Salary: $95,000 to $115,000

Your Challenge
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that align with company objectives for cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.
  • Lead the supplier selection process including RFQ's, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and supplier recommendations.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships as the primary commercial point of contact, driving performance in cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness and commercial execution.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Partner with Engineering to review technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements to source and qualify suppliers for fabricated, machined, cast, forged, welded, electrical, or custom-engineered components.
  • Lead sourcing activities through the entire project lifecycle, supporting New Product Introduction by identifying and qualifying suppliers early in the design process through production launch
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery performance, capacity, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct supplier market research and identify alternative sources to reduce sole-source risk.
  • Drive cost optimization through total cost of ownership analysis, value engineering, should-cost analysis, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Monitor global supply markets, geopolitical risks, tariffs, logistics constraints, and commodity trends.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and sourcing data within the ERP system.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support supplier evaluations, business reviews, and strategic initiatives.
  • Execute purchasing activities by placing and managing purchase orders, monitoring supplier commitments, and reviewing material requirements to ensure continuity of supply and on-time delivery.
  • Support inventory management by balancing material availability, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock requirements, and working capital objectives.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing sourcing strategies for engineered or technical commodities.
  • Experience sourcing from both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Experience developing supplier relationships and evaluating manufacturing capabilities and production processes
  • Experience in leading complex sourcing projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong negotiations and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills including cost modeling and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
