Nursing Home Administrator

Located in Chicago, IL


Salary: up to $145K per year (based on experience)


Qualifications of the Administrator - Nursing Home

  • Must have excellent leadership skills

  • Must have current IL Administrator license

  • Must have experience in long-term care

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must have previous experience as an Administrator


Responsibilities of the Administrator - Nursing Home

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Maintain written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.

  • Maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for each staff position.

  • Assist department directors in development and use of department policies and procedures and establish rapport in and between departments so that each can see the importance of teamwork.

  • Interpret the facilities policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, and governmental agencies, etc.. as necessary in accordance to board approved practice.

  • Review the facility’s policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make changes as necessary to assure continued compliance with current regulations.

  • Assure that all employees, resident, visitors, and the public follows established policies and procedures.
