POSITION SUMMARY

The Artistic Administrator is an entry level position intended for someone who is looking to grow in this industry, with an intended timeline of 1-2 years for this role. They are responsible for overseeing Artistic Department administration functions, including providing general support to the Emerging Professional Residency Program, casting, literary, and New Play Development. Day-to-day management of Artistic Department communication and scheduling is a cornerstone of this role.ย 

Major Duties And Responsibilities Include:

Artistic Department Administration

  • Manage daily administration for the Artistic department, including schedule coordination, organizing databases and files, calendar upkeep on Outlook & Propared, and arranging travel for the department (sans Artistic Director)
  • Coordinate and prepare agendas for Artistic Department meetings, and send out notes/action itemsย 
  • Prepare and submit/distribute Artistic department materials as required for weekly on call schedule, Board Meetings, and other key moments
  • Support Producing Associate in budget management by tracking receiptsย ย 
  • Maintain and organize artistic databases
  • Support the annual Gala and other events throughout the year as needed.

Casting

  • Maintain the casting database
  • Assist in development and execution of Equity Principal Auditions and other open calls
  • Assist with casting projects, including scheduling casting appointments, pulling sides, and providing materials and information to agents/artists

New Play Development

  • Work in tandem with the Company Manager to coordinate and oversee Artistic department guest visits and itineraries.
  • Support Literary Director in scheduling, coordination, and execution of NPD readings, workshops, and other activities

Emerging Professional Residents

  • Support the Associate Producer in planning and executing EPR events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Hours for this job will primarily be between 9:30am-6pm Monday through Friday. There will be some weeknights and weekends required.
