Job description

We are seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, development, validation, and optimization of next-generation wireless power network solutions focused on asset tracking, temperature, humidity, and location intelligence. This individual will play a critical role in designing highly reliable, low-power RF systems that enable real-time tracking across enterprise, industrial, and retail environments.


Candidates should possess a strong background in RF system design, wireless communications, antenna integration, regulatory compliance, and must have cross-functional product development from concept through mass production. This role requires collaboration with hardware, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver scalable, cost-effective products that exceed customer expectations.


This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex wireless challenges while delivering innovative, production-ready products that enable reliable asset visibility across warehouses, logistics networks, industrial environments, and consumer applications.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize RF systems for asset tracking products, utilizing technologies including:
    • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
    • Wi-Fi
    • UWB
    • LoRa
    • Cellular IoT (LTE-M, NB-IoT, Cat-M1)
    • RFID (HF/UHF)
  • Develop complete RF system architectures balancing:
    • Range
    • Cost
    • Throughput
    • Latency
  • Perform RF simulations, link budget analysis, propagation modeling, and system-level performance evaluations.
  • Validate antenna matching networks and optimize RF front-end performance.
  • Work closely with PCB designers to ensure proper RF layout, grounding, shielding, impedance control, and signal integrity.
  • Lead RF characterization using laboratory equipment including:
    • Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • Signal Generators
    • Oscilloscopes
    • RF Power Meters
    • OTA Test Systems
  • Support antenna selection, tuning, and integration across multiple product platforms.
  • Troubleshoot RF performance issues throughout product development and manufacturing.
  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and production yield improvement initiatives.


Cross Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, Mechanical, QA, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Provide technical perspective during design, peer reviews and product release.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Wireless Communications, or related discipline.
    • Master's or PhD degree(s) preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of experience developing RF consumer electronics or wireless embedded products.
  • Must have a strong understanding of:
    • RF circuit design
    • Wireless communication systems
    • Electromagnetic theory
    • Antenna design fundamentals
    • Impedance measurements
    • Experience with RF simulation tools such as:
  • Experience with PCB RF layout and stack-up optimization.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and wireless firmware interactions.
  • Strong knowledge low-power wireless systems.
  • Experience bringing products into mass production.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
