YOUR DAY AS A LEAD DOOR ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

As a Lead Door Assembly Technician, you are immersed in a dynamic workflow where you prepare and receive parts to build door assemblies according to project hardware schedules. You ensure every component matches its description and skillfully use specialized tools to assemble pieces while identifying any defects along the way. You collaborate with your team to position and align components, adhere to safety standards, and conduct inventory checks to keep everything on track. You maintain your equipment and complete quality checks, demonstrating your dedication to craftsmanship as you confirm that each door assembly meets manufacturer specifications and is ready to bring functional beauty to life.


REQUIREMENTS FOR A LEAD DOOR ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Fluency in English, ability to both read and speak
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Physical stamina to stand and lift heavy objects
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to understand schematics, technical manuals, templates, and blueprints
  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16" and calculate basic fractions
  • Ability to confirm assigned components have been set on doors as identified by the project
  • Ability to work overtime hours
