Be part of the operations team for our first US aircraft assembly line for Pilatus.


Pilatus is hiring a Director Supply Chain to join our team in Sarasota, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing all end-to-end supply chain activities within an aircraft production environment. This includes strategic and operational oversight of procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, and material planning. This role ensures material availability, supplier performance, compliance with aviation standards, and efficient flow of components to support production schedules, cost targets, and quality requirements. Essential Duties/Responsibilities


Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies for aircraft components and services
  • Manages supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance (delivery, quality, cost)
  • Ensures compliance with corporate procurement standards and aviation regulations
  • Mitigates supply risks through dual sourcing and supplier development

Logistics & Warehousing

  • Oversees inbound/outbound logistics, international shipments, and customs compliance
  • Manages warehouse operations (receiving, storage, kitting, material flow)
  • Optimizes inventory accuracy, storage, and material handling processes

Material Planning & Production Support

  • Ensures material availability in line with production schedules
  • Balances inventory levels, lead times, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Leads and develops the supply chain team
  • Drives KPI-based performance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensures strong cross-functional alignment across the organization
  • Ensures compliance with the guidelines and standards defined by the HQ Supply Chain Corporate functions

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Defines and drives overall supply chain strategy and ramp-up readiness
  • Leads supplier development and escalation management
  • Ensures effective use of ERP systems and standardized processes
  • Manages supply chain risks and compliance
  • Drives cost control, budgeting, and performance reporting

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's or certifications like APICS/CIPS preferred)
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience, ideally in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Proven leadership experience across procurement, logistics, and warehousing
  • Familiar with aviation regulations, export controls, and global supply chains
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical, data-driven, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
