Job description

Job Responsibilities:

The Truss Assembler is responsible for assembling wood roof and floor trusses using pre-cut materials, plates, and assembly equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Duties:

•Assemble wood trusses according to design specifications and production schedules.

•Position and align pre-cut lumber on assembly tables or jigs.

•Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and automated equipment to secure truss plates.

•Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and structural integrity.

•Work collaboratively with team members to move and position larger components (team lifts required for heavier materials).

•Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

•Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

•Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.

Skills and Qualifications:

•Previous manufacturing, construction, or assembly experience preferred but not required.

•Ability to read a tape measure is required.

•Experience working with Hand Tools

•Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds individually.

•Heavier materials are handled using team lifts, mechanical assists, or conveyors.

•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

•Repetitive hand and arm movements required.

•Work Boots or Steel Toes
