This role is with a company formerly known as G&H Distribution and Supply, which has recently joined the Depatie Fluid Power family. As part of this exciting transition, the right candidate will benefit from the expanded resources, industry expertise, and organizational support that Depatie Fluid Power brings, including access to training programs and tools designed to develop leaders and elevate operations. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow within a well-established local operation, now backed by the strength and reach of a trusted name in fluid power distribution. If you are ready to make an impact from day one while building on a strong foundation, this role was made for you.ย

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on building order from complexity. You will own the full scope of assembly operations, directing daily activity, developing your team, optimizing inventory, and ensuring every customer order ships on time and with quality. Your decisions and direction will be felt at every level of the organization, with regular interaction across Sales, Product Management, Customer Service, and Accounting.

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • ย Assembly Operations: Oversee the allocation of manpower and materials to ensure assembly, shipping, and receiving operate efficiently and on schedule. Establish direction and metrics to keep order fulfillment timely and customer-focused.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Direct the day-to-day operations of inbound and outbound logistics. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across all shipments - from receipt of materials to final delivery to the customer.
  • Inventory Management: Own stocking levels, customer safety stock commitments, and demand forecasting for future requirements. Establish and implement standardized, automated processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Production Planning: Lead production planning practices that account for short- and long-term requirements while integrating manpower and material availability. Implement standard procedures that protect On Time Delivery and premier customer service.

  • Reverse Logistics: Maintain and continuously improve a reverse logistics process dedicated to returns, repair, and replacement. Protect the customer experience through structured, reliable processes.
  • Growth Readiness: Evaluate the capability and capacity of the assembly department. Develop skill sets, cross-training programs, and process documentation to support future business opportunities.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Set the pace. Your metrics and direction will define what "on time" and "high quality" mean for the department - and for every ย ย customer.
  • Build the system. You will design and implement standard operating procedures that reduce variability, rework, and guesswork across the entire fulfillment operation.
  • Grow the team. The people you hire, coach, and develop today will determine the department's capability and culture tomorrow.
  • Bridge the organization. As a key partner to Sales, Product Management, Customer Service, and Accounting, you will be the critical operational link across every customer-facing team.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, and retain high-performing teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Structured problem-solving and root-cause thinking
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills across all levels of management
  • Proficiency with computer-based business systems and ERP platforms
  • 10-15 years of technical or operations experience (recommended)
  • Technical certification or college degree (recommended)
