Assembly Department Manager โ€“ Cabinets & Store Fixtures

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Department Manager to oversee our cabinet and retail fixture assembly operations. This position will manage approximately 40 employees in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on cabinet manufacturing experience, and the ability to organize production efficiently while maintaining quality and schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the Assembly Department
  • Supervise approximately 40 assembly employees
  • Read and interpret production drawings and shop drawings
  • Set up and organize jobs for assembly teams
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure production schedules are met
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and employee performance
  • Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams
  • Ensure safe work practices and maintain an organized work environment
  • Assist with training and developing employees

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience in cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or store fixture production
  • Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly processes
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift experience is a plus

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM
  • Overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed
