General Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Nutrition Services and Executive Chef, performs area specific assigned duties to provide food services to patients, residents, employees and visitors while following established sanitation procedures.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares and portions entrees, sandwiches, desserts, beverages, and salads for patients, residents and cafeteria.
  • Cleans work area and performs daily cleaning as assigned.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intradepartmental to facilitate the departmentโ€™s/unitโ€™s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Follows assigned work procedures and priorities, reporting problems to a supervisor or manager.
  • Follows procedures and standards of safety and personal hygiene required by department, following infection control, ODH and HFAP.
  • Preparation of supplies and of tray assembly.
  • Assist with unpacking, handling and storing of food and/or supply deliveries.
