Canton, OH Full Time Hourly Night Shift: M-Th, 8 PM - 6 AM $18 - $22/Hour
We are a manufacturer of high-capacity truck, rail, floor, and bench scales for the weighing industry in Canton, Ohio.
Job Summary
We are seeking more Shipping and Assembly Assistants to join our team. In this position, you are responsible to assist and train in the assembly and loading of large truck and equipment scales. You should have experience with overhead crane operation and order assembly. A background in steel manufacturing or shipping and receiving is beneficial.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review schematics to ensure you have the proper equipment and materials
  • Review orders and pickers to ensure parts are picked for the appropriate job
  • Operate overhead cranes to assist in loading of pieces
  • Assemble the scale components to the bridge as required by the work order
  • Check that parts and assemblies are picked to order, logged, and loaded accordingly
  • Do banding, wrapping, and packaging as required for order
  • Follow all safety protocols and clean up your workspace upon completion

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 3 years of shop experience, weld and fab shop preferred
  • Overhead crane and tow motor operation
  • Experience reading orders or schematics preferred
  • Able to bend, lift, sit, and stand for 8 to 12 hours/day
  • Able to work from a ladder or at heights as needed
  • Use of hand tools as needed, some mechanical aptitude required
  • Able to lift 60 pounds
