Your Role
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, initiate diagnostic tests, and tailor individualized care strategies
  • Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with physicians
  • Provide education on preventive care, wellness and chronic disease management to patients and their families
  • Prescribe necessary medications and treatments adhering to established guidelines
  • Engage actively in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
  • Work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team to deliver cohesive patient care
  • Document care accurately and comprehensively within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Iowa
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
