Job description

Growing professional asphalt contractor in Brevard County seeking individuals with experience or individuals interested in learning the trade for full-time work. Shop is located in Melbourne.
Job Details:
  • Perform tasks involving physical labor by removing and replacing asphalt.
  • Sealcoating/Spraying parking lots and roadways.
  • Maintain all asphalt equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:
  • Asphalt Repair: Cutting asphalt with saw, tacking and compacting new asphalt.
  • Sealcoating asphalt.
  • Assist in job site cleanup.
  • Navigate to and from work sites.
  • Assist in other field work activities and maintain physical condition of the warehouse.
  • Qualified candidates will be contracted for immediate interviews.
  • If you have any experience or are willing to learn please respond to this listing.
  • Use blowers, shovels and push brooms as needed to clean areas.
  • Install traffic signage and carstops.
  • Perform up keep and maintenance on all equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Ability to read and scale from plans & blueprints is a plus.
  • Basic math skills needed to read tape measure and mark lines.
  • MUST have the ability to frequently lift 50 lbs, walk long distances, push machinery, bend-over frequently and work outside in the Florida heat.
  • MUST be flexible with scheduling. Scheduling varies from days to nights, week-days to weekends, early morning start times to very long evening hours, sometimes without consistency so that we may meet the needs of our clients & their construction projects.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • A valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
