The Asphalt Roller Operator position is critical as we build better communities. Here are some things you will do:
  • Visualize and implement the Clyde Companies, Inc. vision and core values.
  • Operate heavy equipment, specifically asphalt roller, productively, efficiently, and safely.
  • Work with screed man and foreman to complete a quality project meeting compaction requirements
  • Assist in cleaning out paver
  • Grease, oil, and performs minor repairs on equipment, using grease gun, oilcans, and hand tools.
  • Direct and teach laborers/operators as assigned
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additionally, we're looking for:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Understand paving procedures
  • Experience rolling different types of asphalt mix including UDOT or state mixes
  • Ability to work overtime in summer and winter conditions
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR
  • CDL and ability to run a distributor truck a plus, but not required
