What is the role of the Transportation Division? Our Transportation Division exists to deliver materials and equipment to our crews and customers. We have many different types of trucks to drive.


What is a Tri-Axle Driver?

  • This person drives our dump trucks. They haul asphalt, granite, sand, and other materials to and from our projects.
  • License Requirements: Class B

What is a Low Boy Driver?

  • This person transports equipment from job to job for our crews.
  • License Requirements: Class A

What is a Liquid Tanker Driver?

  • This person hauls liquid asphalt from the terminal in North Charleston to our Summerville and N Charleston Asphalt Plants.
  • License Requirements: Class A with tanker and hazmat endorsements

What is a Cement Tanker Driver?

  • This person hauls cement from the cement plants in Holly Hill to our reclamation job sites throughout the Lowcountry.
  • License Requirements: Class A

Who you are:

  • 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
  • Ability to drive all hours of the day, all days of the week, working within the Department of Transportation on/off duty regulations
  • Class A or B CDL and clean three (3) year Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to use a smart phone
