  • Greasing plant equipment and checking oil levels on machines and equipment
  • Assisting with unloading liquid materials, lime, aggregate, and other plant materials as needed
  • Running the water truck as required
  • Keeping plant areas, including the yard, tower, and work areas, clean and organized
  • Supporting crusher and unloading facility operations
  • Assisting with changing out bad rollers and other basic plant maintenance tasks
  • Working around asphalt plants, crushers, conveyors, trucks, equipment, and materials
  • Communicating with plant team members to support daily production needs
  • Following all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures
  • Helping with other plant facility tasks as needed
Schedule

This is a plant-based position, and hours may vary depending on production needs, project schedules, weather, and customer demand. Our plants operate day and night, so candidates may need to be flexible and available to work varying shifts as needed. Overtime may be required.

  • Has 1โ€“2 years of equipment, plant, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, mechanic, or hands-on labor experience
  • Is comfortable working around asphalt plants, crushers, trucks, conveyors, materials, noise, dust, and other safety-sensitive conditions
  • Is willing to learn plant operations, material handling, and basic maintenance tasks
  • Can follow directions and communicate clearly with team members
  • Takes safety seriously
  • Is dependable and shows up on time
  • Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Wants to learn and grow in asphalt production and heavy civil construction
  • Is flexible and available to work day or night shifts as needed
  • Is willing to work at our plant locations in North Charleston, Summerville, and Walterboro as needed
  • Has a valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation
