Job Title: Cleaning Technician

Job Description

The Aseptic Cleaning Technician plays a key role in maintaining a highly controlled cleanroom environment by performing routine cleaning, following strict procedures, and supporting production operations. This position requires careful attention to detail, consistent adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, and the ability to work actively on your feet throughout the shift in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning of the cleanroom facility and adjacent controlled spaces to maintain aseptic conditions.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all policies related to cleaning and appropriate behavior in the cleanroom environment.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, including identifying chemicals, ensuring proper use and preparation, and following labeling and storage requirements.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, gowning materials, and supplies within storage areas and locker rooms to ensure readiness and organization.
  • Adhere to facility gowning requirements and demonstrate ongoing competence by successfully completing annual gowning qualifications.
  • Observe Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording data on controlled documentation and cleaning records.
  • Remain professional at all times, work scheduled hours reliably, complete required training, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Use email, Microsoft Teams, and training software on a daily basis to access information, complete trainings, and communicate with colleagues.
  • Support the Cleaning Operations team by performing additional tasks as needed to meet department goals and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately and consistently.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment, including gowning and garbing according to strict protocols.
  • Capability to work on your feet in an active role for the entirety of a shift.
  • Willingness and ability to commit to overtime, weekend, or holiday work if needed.
  • Confidence using email and other computer programs on a daily basis, including tools such as Microsoft Teams and training software.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording data.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and effective communication in a team setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior aseptic cleaning or laboratory sanitation experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience following SOPs in a production or controlled environment is preferred.
  • Experience gowning up and working in cleanrooms is highly preferred.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work in a labor-intensive role and maintain focus in a regulated environment.
  • Interest in a long-term role within a growing, team-oriented operation.

Work Environment

The work environment is highly team oriented, with a diverse group of individuals collaborating to maintain a safe and compliant cleanroom facility. The role is physically active, and you will be on your feet for most of the day while gowning up and entering cleanrooms regularly. The dress code is casual lab attire, including closed-toe shoes, socks covering the ankles, khaki pants or jeans without holes, and shirts without graphics. The position is on second shift, typically from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and may involve overtime, weekend, or holiday work as needed to support operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Grandview Heights, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
