Independent Emergency Physicians, PC (IEP) is currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team at Ascension Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced and compassionate pediatric ER physician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Exciting Pediatric Emergency Medicine Opportunity:
Independent Emergency Physicians -PC (IEP) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible PEM physician to join their PEM team at Henry Ford /St John Hospital located in the Detroit/Gross Pointe area in Michigan. This is a full-time clinical/ academic position in a busy teaching hospital. The PED is a newly built state-of-the-art pediatric-specific facility with a separate lobby and EMS entrance.
Henry Ford/St John Hospital is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center. The PED sees close to 20,000 visits per year. The applicant will join an established team of PEM physicians and APPs in the PED. Construction is underway on a new 10-bed PICU and the hospital has pediatric surgical and medical sub-specialty coverage. Qualified applicants will be expected to take part in an active teaching program with medical students and residents from the departments of Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine.
About IEP:
IEP is a local, physician-owned multi-specialty practice group that was started in 1997 by a group of local emergency physicians and provided ED coverage for 2 hospitals. It has since grown in size and includes coverage for 12 emergency departments, as well as urgent cares, family medicine practice, and nursing homes.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Valid DEA license and Controlled Substance license (State of Michigan).
  • Certified in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or significant experience in pediatric emergency care.
