An AS400 Testing job involves evaluating applications running on the IBM AS400 (now IBM i) platform to ensure functionality, performance, and security. Testers work with RPG, COBOL, CL, and DB2-based applications, executing test cases, identifying bugs, and validating system outputs. The role requires knowledge of AS400 commands, database structures, and business logic implementation.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills help testers collaborate effectively and report findings. These competencies ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality business applications on legacy systems, minimizing risks and defects.
