What is AS400 programming?

AS400 programming refers to developing applications on IBM's AS/400 (now IBM i) midrange computer system. It typically involves using languages like RPG (Report Program Generator), COBOL, and CL (Control Language) to create business applications for industries such as banking, manufacturing, and retail. AS400 programmers are responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications that run on the IBM i platform.
