Job description

The Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project is seeking a full-time Development Manager to support its 15th Anniversary fundraising efforts, celebrations, and beyond. The ideal candidate would be able to start in January 2026, immediately utilizing their expertise in service of our growing organization.

The Development Manager is responsible for implementing the annual development strategy for Threads in collaboration with the Managing Director and Artistic/Executive Director. The Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing grant opportunities along with managing the agency’s grant portfolio. Additionally, the Development Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing the agency’s individual donor relationships and implementing the annual individual donor development plan.

Competitive candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in dance, arts management, or non-profit management, and at least 3 years of experience in development for a non-profit/arts organization.
