Job responsibilities

  • Execute and influence the design of comprehensive security and threat intelligence strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance threat detection capabilities and protect the organization's digital assets, smart contracts, and blockchain infrastructure from cybersecurity threats
  • Proactively monitor and analyze complex on-chain and off-chain data and systems to identify indicators of vulnerabilities and compromises, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to detect anomalies and contribute to the development of strategies for security investigation, threat mitigation, and incident response
  • Produce actionable threat intelligence products including indicator of compromise development, exploit analysis reports, and threat actor tracking to inform detection engineering and security operations.
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat intelligence synthesis and prioritization, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a coordinated approach to blockchain and enterprise security, sharing threat intelligence insights, and promoting best practices across the organization
  • Evaluate and enhance the organization's security posture by staying current with industry trends, emerging on-chain threats, threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures, and regulatory requirements, driving innovation and process improvements.
  • Drives reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted workflows to improve threat hunting and detection engineering productivity, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned to security expectations.
  • Partner with detection engineering teams to translate intelligence findings into scalable, automated detection rules and monitoring frameworks
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of incident response playbooks specific to blockchain and digital asset threat scenarios

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on cyber intelligence concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple security domains, including network security, malware analysis, threat hunting, threat intelligence production, and security architecture and design, with proficiency in using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and advanced analytics techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of network and infrastructure configuration and security, including experience in designing and implementing security solutions for on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support threat intelligence, detection engineering, and security research workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted intelligence findings and detection recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex on-chain and off-chain data to identify threat indicators, anomalies, and patterns indicative of malicious activity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments, coordinating with security operations, engineering, and risk teams to drive coordinated threat response

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with broader blockchain security concepts such as consensus mechanisms, smart contract vulnerability classes, blockchain threat actor landscape, and multi-chain monitoring approaches
  • Experience with digital asset platforms, decentralized finance protocols, or blockchain forensics tooling
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to digital assets and financial services cybersecurity
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), or equivalent
